Complete care from start to finish: the TOR concept
Our unique Training – Operation – Rehabilitation (TOR) model offers a comprehensive approach to optimal recovery. From your first visit to your final follow-up, every step of your journey is carefully planned and professionally supported.
What is the TOR concept?
we have developed the TOR concept to offer a complete treatment process. TOR stands for:
Training
Exercise and other preparations for surgery to strengthen the trunk, reduce the risk of complications and promote faster healing.
Operation
Expert surgery that is individually tailored to your anatomy, lifestyle and goals - using safe, proven techniques based on evidence and solid experience.
Rehabilitation
Personalized rehabilitation program with gradually increasing exercises under the guidance of a personal coach for a safe return to full activity.
Why TOR is important
Many clinics focus only on the surgery itself. We believe that optimal results are achieved by preparing patients physically and mentally, guiding them through the entire process and supporting them after surgery with dedicated care and follow-up.
Advantages of TOR
- Better prepared for surgery
- Easier surgical intervention
- Reduced risk of complications
- Faster post-operative recovery
- Optimal rehabilitation
Are you ready to start?
Start with a consultation. We will assess your condition and set up a plan using the TOR framework.
Who is it for?
Originally developed for patients with rectus diastasis, the TOR concept can be applied to a wide range of abdominal wall problems requiring surgery. Whether you are a new mother, an athlete with a hernia or a professional who needs to get back on your feet quickly – TOR can provide you with the structure and support for an optimal and rapid recovery and return to what matters most.
The history and science behind TOR
We have developed the TOR concept to offer an optimal treatment process for our patients with rectal diastasis. The TOR regimen is based on a combined clinical experience of more than 20 years and our own clinical studies. The outcome of the TOR concept was evaluated in a scientific study published in the British Journal of Surgery Open 2023.
